Wendt may be best known to TV viewers as Norm on Cheers, but Columbo fans will also recognize him as the homicidal horse breeder in Season 13's opener - Strange Bedfellows.

Wendt was born in Chicago ("Da Bears!") on October 17th, 1948 and as of October 2021 is still working pretty steadily. 

Fun fact: Since 1979 Wendt has been married to actress Bernadette Birkett...who played the voice of Vera, his unseen wife on Cheers.
