365 Days of Columbo: September 6th

I know June and she's got a pretty decent birthday

Katherine Cannon was born on September 6, 1953, in Hartford, Connecticut. Raised in Laguna Beach, California, she was introduced to acting by Judy Farrell, the wife of actor Mike Farrell. Katherine's early career included roles in popular TV series such as Hawaii Five-O, Emergency!, and Gunsmoke. She gained significant recognition for her role as Amy Kane in High Noon, Part II: The Return of Will Kane (1980).

Columbo fans will know here as June Clark, the coach's wife who was having an affair with murder victim D.E. Rusk in Columbo Goes to College.

Katherine is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Felice Martin, the domineering mother of Donna Martin (played by Tori Spelling), on the long-running teen drama series Beverly Hills, 90210. Her other notable TV appearances include recurring roles on CHiPs and Father Murphy.

In her personal life, Katherine was married to commercial director Richard Chambers, with whom she has a son, Colin Thomas Chambers. The couple divorced in 1980. In 2001, she married actor Dean Butler, known for his role as Almanzo Wilder on Little House on the Prairie.
