Happy Birthday Steve Gravers

Character actor Steve Gravers was born on April 8, 1922. Columbo fans will spot him in Short Fuse (1972), where he played the sergeant who showed Columbo around the mountain crash site.

Gravers passed away August 26th, 1978 in Studio City, CA of lung cancer. He was just 56 years old.

Remembering Chuck McCann

Chuck McCann died on April 8, 2018, at age 83. He appeared in Double Exposure as Roger White, the projectionist whose discovery (and greed) puts him in terrible danger.

Rest in Peace, Stanley Kamel

Another April 8 date of note: Stanley Kamel died on April 8, 2008. Columbo fans will remember him as Tim Haines in Agenda for Murder.

Kamel is probably best known to many viewers for playing Dr. Kroger on Monk, but his Columbo appearance is a good one.
