The beauty business turns deadly
On September 23, 1973, Lovely But Lethal premiered and opened Columbo’s third season.
Vera Miles plays Viveca Scott, the head of a cosmetics company with a great deal riding on a revolutionary wrinkle cream. Martin Sheen plays chemist Karl Lessing, who knows the formula but is planning to sell it to the highest bidder. Before long, Columbo is investigating Lessing’s murder.
Vincent Price adds to the occasion as cosmetics rival David Lang, with Sian Barbara Allen as Price's ambitious two-timing assistant.
