Happy Birthday John Milford
Actor John Milford was born on September 7, 1927, in Johnstown, New York.
Milford makes a brief appearance in 1973’s Double Exposure, playing the first detective at the crime scene after Dr. Bart Keppel, played by Robert Culp, carries out his subliminally inspired murder of Victor Norris.
It was exactly the sort of supporting role Milford played hundreds of times during a remarkably busy television career. His credits stretched from Perry Mason, Bonanza and The Fugitive through The A-Team, MacGyver and The X-Files. He was particularly associated with cops, soldiers and tough guys.
Milford had another interesting connection to Hollywood history. Trained as a civil engineer before becoming a full-time actor, he has been credited with contributing to the original design of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He also operated the Chamber Theatre in Los Angeles, where he helped provide a showcase for developing actors.
Milford died August 14, 2000, in Santa Monica at age 72.
