365 Days of Columbo: October 7th

Happy Anniversary, Any Old Port in a Storm

On October 7th, 1973, one of the most beloved episodes of Columbo made its television debut: Any Old Port in a Storm.

Donald Pleasence stars as Adrian Carsini, the cultured and thoroughly wine-obsessed owner of the Carsini Winery. When his younger half-brother Rick announces plans to sell the winery, Adrian responds rather poorly — by knocking him unconscious, locking him in the wine cellar, and eventually staging his death as a diving accident.
