On February 25th, 1978, the 3rd episode of season 7, Make Me a Perfect Murder, premiered. Staring Trish Van Devere as ambitious TV executive Kay Freestone, who murders her boss/lover because he passes her over for a job.

Raise a glass for Diane Baker

Maybe 4 or 5 glasses. It's her birthday! Best remembered by Columbo fans as the constantly drunk Joanna Clay in Last Salute to the Commodore, Diane was born February 25th, 1938 in Hollywood, CA.

Outside of Columbo she was probably best known for either Marnie or Inherit the Wind.

Bert Remsen

Did you know that Bert celebrates his birthday 5 minutes early, so that he won't be late for it? Neither did Ward Fowler, apparently. Remson plays Mark, Ward's go-fer (and alibi) in Fade in to Murder.

Bert was born February 25th, 1925 in Glen Cove, NY.

Trivia: Remsen walked with a cane in real life too, but not because of injuries suffered in WWII (he served in the Navy) but rather because an 80 foot crane fell on him while filming No Time for Sergeants in 1964 and broke his back.

Happy birthday Michael Lally (no not that one)

Mike Edward Lally was born February 25, 1935. If the surname rings a bell, you’re not imagining it: he’s the son of the legendary Michael Lally, who appeared in dozens of episodes.

Mike Edward Lally turns up in Swan Song (1974) as a TV Cameraman.
