365 Days of Columbo: April 2nd

Happy Birthday to Hard Boiled Haggerty

H.B. Haggerty has a unique moment in Columbo history - he's the only actor to be on-screen with Lieutenant Columbo while the good Lieutenant is shirtless. Haggerty played Sam the masseur who tries to help Columbo after Columbo's unfortunate auto accident at the beginning of Make Me a Perfect Murder.

Happy birthday to Ken Sansom

Another Columni whose name might not be familiar is Ken Sansom. Born April 2nd, 1927 in Salt Lake City. He had two Columbo appearances.

He played a DMV employee in Death Lends a Hand and he was Paul, the doctor whose enthusiasm for surgery and suture almost made Columbo ill.

Outside of Columbo he's probably best known as the voice of Rabbit in the Winnie the Pooh cartoons from 1988 to 2010.

He passed away October 8th, 2012.
