Actor Dorian Harewood was born August 6, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio. I have to be honest, I'm not 100% convinced that it's actually him, but IMDB credits Harewood as one of the cops looking in through the window after the car crash in the beginning of Make Me a Perfect Murder.

Who am I to argue with IMDB?

It would be easy to miss Harewood during the episode, but he went on to enjoy a long and varied career. His best-known credits include Roots: The Next Generations, The Jesse Owens Story, Full Metal Jacket, Space Jam, and an extensive collection of animated voice roles.

Dion Anderson was born August 6, 1938, in Texas.

Anderson appeared in the 1997 episode A Trace of Murder as Stuart March, the attorney representing wealthy murder suspect Clifford Calvert. 

Anderson was also recognizable from productions including The Shawshank Redemption, Havana, Dying Young, and The Rockford Files: Friends and Foul Play. He died on April 26, 2026, at the age of 87.

And happy birthday Buck Young

Character actor Buck Young was born August 6, 1921, in Winchester, Virginia.

Young made two small appearances in Columbo. He played a security guard in Make Me a Perfect Murder, and later appeared as a guest at the wake in A Bird in the Hand.

Outside Columbo, Young accumulated a lengthy list of television credits, including appearances in Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., Gunsmoke, M*A*S*H, Dallas, and MacGyver. He died in 2000
